The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide strong clinical knowledge and leadership to ensure the highest standards are achieved in the delivery of care within the home. RNs work closely with fellow healthcare staff and physicians to ensure they know about and understand resident updates and care plans. In addition, an RN is responsible for interacting with the patient’s family by reporting any changes in the patient’s health or living situation.
- Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing
- Current state licensure as a registered nurse and BLS certification required
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

- Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
- Monitoring of changes in health of the residents
- Establishing a care plan for each resident and coordinating with other staff
- Administering medication and ensuring compliance
- Observing residents’ behavior to identify changes that may indicate a need for medical attention or other intervention
- Creating and overseeing healthcare programs for residents such as immunization
- Facilitating wellness and exercise programs
- Providing emotional support to residents, family members, and other loved ones during difficult times
- Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding residents’ medical needs
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills
- High level of comfort with technology
- Ability to work with the leadership team with a high level of autonomy
- Highly compassionate and caring
- Ability to be a business leader as well as a care provider
- Experience in emergency room or intensive care
- Dementia knowledge (for homes with people living with dementia)
